Project management summary: The main objective of the project is a prototype and utility model of a new generation medical device ThyroPIX for imaging of the thyroid gland and small organs in nuclear medicine with a focus on radionuclide therapy and diagnostics. The sub-objectives are the development of a new detector in a Compton camera configuration based on Timepix3 technology and the research and development of a completely new generation of Timepix4 based detectors. Within the implementation of the project, the development of user software integrating software for the control of robotic arm movements, data acquisition, reconstruction and evaluation and communication with NIS/RIS/PACS systems using the DICOM 3.0 compatible data format is essential.
