INDUSTRIAL METROLOGY

Industrial metrology has a priority role in the ČMI services. The national measurement system is based on the CMI standards - mostly Czech national standards. CMI services are typically customer oriented.

CMI laboratories in the field of industrial metrology are accredited by the Czech national accreditation body - or - their calibration is accepted by accreditation bodies on the base of the Institute status - it is a principal Czech metrological agency. QMS see here .

The CMI organizes (at the level of industrial metrology) interlaboratory comparisons of Czech laboratories or performs bilateral comparisons. Results are required by the accreditation body and demonstrate competence of laboratories.

International comparisons are organized also by the CMI, preferably by primary laboratories - see also fundamental metrology .
