METROLOGY SYSTEM OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
LEGISLATIVE BASIS


The national metrology system of the Czech Republic has been established and ensured on the basis of the legal regulations setting out the rights and obligations of the bodies involved in the metrology field.
Basically, the legislative lied down in Act No. 505/1990 Coll. on Metrology as amended by Act No.119/2000 Coll. and Act No.20/1993 Coll. on the provision of the performance of state administration in the field of standards, metrology and testing as amended by Act. No. 22/1997 Coll.
The basic acts are:

The Act of 16th November 1990 on Metrology as amended by Act No.119/2000 Coll.

20/1993 Coll.

The Act of 20th December 1992 on The provisions of the performance of state administration in the field of standards, metrology and testing as amended by Act No. 22/1997 Coll. and by Act No.119/2000 Coll.

22/1997 Coll.

The Act of 24th January 1997 Coll. on Technical requirements for products and on amendments to some products.

119/2000 Coll.

The Act of 6th April 2000 amending Act No. 505/1990 Coll. and some other acts.
