LEGAL REGULATIONS ON METROLOGY

The legal system of regulations on metrology supplemented by a set of additional legal regulations being not strictly metrological but touching this subject serve as one of the tools putting in practice the Czech Republic metrological system and supporting its functionality. 

As a basis of this legal system the Law No. 505/1990 Coll., on Metrology, as amended, and implementing decrees to this Law, particularly Law No. 20/1993 Coll., on State administration discharge in the field of Technical standardization, Metrology and Testing, and Law No. 22/1997 Coll., on Technical requirements for Products, as amended,  and its implementing Government Orders concerning measurement instruments, can be considered.

The knowledge of the principal legal regulations of the Czech Republic plays the main role in orientation within the Czech metrological system. This part of the CMI web sites offers two possibilities how to acquaint oneself with the legal regulations on metrology. You can use:
